So you all know the Deli magazine, right? Well, we are in the running for the Best Emerging Artist of 2010! You know what that means, don't cha? I hope we don't come across as too needy, but we really really really &quot;needy&quot; you to take a moment, click this link <a href="http://nyc.thedelimagazine.com/snacks" target="_new">here, and vote for us. They have some great prizes, most notably free studio time . . . so the more of you clicky clicky, the quicker we can turn out some brandy new Japanese Gypsy Rock for you. And Kaz is overflowin', so we got to lay this stuff down before he pops.
<a href="http://nyc.thedelimagazine.com/snacks" target="_new">http://nyc.thedelimagazine.com/snacks

And we have two very amazing shows this week. We are at a new place, Rest-au-Rant in Long Island City, this Thursday, from 9-Mid. We've heard good things about it, and they are kind enough to support live, original music, so if you are in the hood, stop on by.

And then Golden Fest on Sat. Imagine 60 upbeat, Balkan inspired bands, all under one roof. Tons of brass, tons of unique instruments from the Balkan and surrounding areas, and lots and lots of dancing. This is the real deal, all acoustic and live instruments, showcasing the best bands from all over the world that perform this type of music. Do you like Kagero? Do you like Slavic Soul Party? Want to see both those bands and more all in one night? Yes, you certainly do. And this show is in the Grand Prospect Hall in Brooklyn, one of the most gorgeous structures in all of NYC, for all you architecture fans.

That's it! Love you all, and please vote . . . and get your friends to vote, and your parents, and your siblings . . . . :)

Goodbye 2010!!! (Dec 16)

What a year it has been . . .

Thank you all for supporting Kagero and making it a great year for us. We've had some amazing gigs, you all are loving the new record, and we can't thank you enough.

There are three (3) Kagero shows left in 2010:

Dec 18 - Mehanata, NYC
This is just our normal, sleepy Urban Gypsy party, where folks drink a little too much and dance all night long. Seriously, if you are tired of napping in NYC's finest alt venues, come on out and party with us at Mehahana. The most fun you can have for $10.

Dec 23 - The Saint, Asbury Park, NJ
This will be our second time there. We are thrilled to be part of PhanPhest's Holiday Jam, with local AP faves Dub Proof and Mike Montrey. We love our Jersey fans, so come out and start your holiday with us.

Dec 31 - New Years Eve at Mehanata, NYC
We did this last year and it got a little out of hand. If you think you are strong enough for this, you should do it. It's a whole shin dig, and we start off the night, playing from 8-10pm. Bad Buka, DJs and complete madness will follow. You should come, but consider yourself warned.
<a target="_new" href="http://mehanata.com/index.php?view=details&amp;id=1924%3Amehanata--new-years-eve&amp;option=com_eventlist&amp;Itemid=76">

Kagero Double Header This Friday! (Nov 19th)

A big thanks to all of you crazies that came out to Mehanata last Saturday. Super fun, as always . . . you all never disapoint!

This Friday, Nov 19th, is going to be fun, so clear your books! We will start with an intimate show at The Observatory (543 Union St), which is hosted by the Hollow Earth Society. We'll be doing about 1 hr as a trio, and then have a talkback session, where you can ask Kaz anything you wanted to know about how he comes up with this stuff. And then we are off to an underground party in Bushwick!&nbsp; It is called &quot; The Feast of the Shameless&quot; and it's put on by No Mans Land. It will be crazy, and we are on about midnight. That will be a full band show, so put on your party hats! RSVP to&nbsp;<a href="mailto:nomanslandnyc@gmail.com">nomanslandnyc@gmail.com for info.&nbsp; The flyer is below, and the facebook link is:

Kagero Shows this Weekend (Oct 15th)

Happy Thursday Everyone!

We are looking forward to a magically delicious weekend of Kagero shows. We've started playing regularly at this cool Tapas bar in Stamford, CT called Barcelona. There are a few of them around CT, nice places, run by nice folks, and they love Japanese Gypsy Rock! We ran into a nice group of Eastern Europeans last time there who became fast Kagero fans, so if you are in the hood Friday night, stop on by!

And Saturday we'll be back at Mehanata, the best Gypsy dance party in town. By far the most fun we have performing in NYC, and if you haven't been, you simply must.

KAGERO UP FOR BACKYARD BRUNCH SESSION

Hey Hey Kageronians!
We are in the running for a very unique live performance spot, and we need your help to nail it down. <a target="_new" href="http://davidchaitt.com/">David Chaitt, who runs a blog called <a target="_new" href="http://davidchaitt.com/">&ldquo;Twentysomething in the Music Biz&rdquo; and also hosts a cool live event called Backyard Brunch, where all different folks from the industry attend. In his post today, 6-22-10, he announced the ten bands in the running, but only 1 will perform. So if you wouldn&rsquo;t mind, can you pop over to his site and leave a comment about Kagero? Maybe the story about you carrying Kaz home from the Russian bar, or the time J.W. serenaded you on the subway? How about that screaming match when Rob insisted Dio was better than Ozzy? Or any story from New Year&rsquo;s at Mehanata (yikes!). Colorful stories, simple nice things or even uncomfortable TMI items on Dave&rsquo;s blog will sway him in our favor, so head over and start commenting! Thanks so much! <a target="_new" href="http://davidchaitt.com/">http://davidchaitt.com/
